Tompkins Square Park Crew
Even though Quartersnacks started as a mouthpiece for the New York skateboard scene, it evolved into so much more. It wasn't long before it developed into an internationally respected online community. With such a large number of users, it was a logical step to move from being a virtual brand into a physical brand.
They needed a logo, first and foremost, and so the Snackman was born. The likeable cookie figure is still the sweet figurehead of QS. They have continued to prove the importance of their role in the skateboarding community, and have been honored, as such, with collaborations with brands like Nike SB and Vans.
In addition to looking out for the world with their homepage and apparel collection, the do-gooders also make sure to take care of their neighborhood. Without their efforts to help rescue the popular skating spot Tompkins Square Park through crowdfunding, the skateboarding community would have lost three decades off skateboarding history to artificial grass turf. Respect!
