Polar was founded by Swedish pro skateboarder and cosmopolitan Pontus Alv. The passion and handwriting of the creative mastermind can be recognized behind every single part of the brand.[/column_left]

The brand has been committed to two things since its founding: innovation and quality. These two qualities remain true to this day. The most important innovations include the Polar Surf Pants, the Polar Big Boy Jeans, as well as the 90's Pants, which helped the 90s make their fashionable comeback into the skateboard scene. Polar also manages to extend their design passed the limits of Scandinavian minimalism into loud, often sarcastic prints, carrying a strong concept throughout. Similar to HUF and their Plantlife socks, Polar released their Happy Sad Socks, contributing to the market in, literally, the most positive way possible. Qualitatively, the brand makes no compromises, and almost without exception produces the entireity of its collection in Europe. Of course this is also reflected in price, but by no means does this detract from the popularity of the brand... quite the contrary.

In addition to a unique clothing line, the skate crew behind the brand is what carries the message of individuality and steeze to the public. Oskar Rozenberg, for example, is not only one of the raddest skateboarders on the Nike SB Pro team, but also the winner of the Vans Park Series World Championship 2019. Effortless flow, brute force, and grace: these are just some of the secrets in the pockets of Polar team riders: Aaron Herrington, Dane Brady, Hjalte Halberg, Nick Boserio, Paul Grund, Roman Gonzales, and Emile Laurent.
The Polar Skate Co. Boards
The decks that keep the Polar team going focus on design, quality, and innovation. The boards are produced in the USA, and the designs are creations by Pontus Alv himself, but also by friends and artists Stefan Narancic and Jacob Ovgren... individuals with style and a shared goal of putting smiles on our faces. Perhaps what makes the decks the most striking are the variety of shapes available. There is something for everyone, whether you skate the normal popsicle decks, or one of the ten other shapes available, like the Dane1, Football, and other 90's boards.
