Dachstein... more than just a mountain.
Austrian born and raised Anton Lindtner founded his shoemaking company in 1925, and decided to name it after the highest mountain in Upper Austria. A few years later, Lintner's son took over the company and added ski and hiking boots to the range. The product range has been increased from year to year to include cross-country, leisure, and jogging shoes. One thing that has been the focus behind every shoe Dachstein designs: the combination of function and design. Dachstein has always been known for setting high boundaries, which means when all is said and done, the easiest part of your adventure will be finding nice, practical outdoor and leisure shoes.

Preformance and innovation.
The Austrian brand is also characterized by innovative progress. Over the years, Dachstein has introduced materials like Steiner Loden and the breathable Gore-Tex into its shoe portfolio. This includes an evolution of shoe-making techniques as well, such as the respected PU sole technology that made the hiking boot what it is today.
