Fleece jackets are a great contribution to layering an outfit. Malinda Chouinaid, the wife of Patagonia founder Ivon Chouinaid, experimented with fleece materials from fleece manufacturer Polartec in the early 1980s. Fleece, made from recycled polyester fibers, is super water repellent and therefore best suited for endurance sports (like skateboarding!)
